Sew In Hair Extensions & What You Should Know.

I have been working with hair extensions for over 10 years. If applied correctly, the extensions should actually help you grow your real hair longer. I use a very gentle method of applying silicone beads to your hair so I can sew to them with no tension and no pulling. My method is the most comfortable way to wear extensions. It's my mission to make wearing extensions not only fun and luxurious but healthy and manageable too.

Platinum Seamless gives me all the tools I need to apply your sew in extensions in the most comfortable and healthy way possible. Their wefts are extremely lightweight and the best quality on the market. Their Wonderweft system allows me to use up to 4 wefts on one hair extension row, yes the tracks are that thin and light! The hair is thick from the top of the weft all the way to the bottom without that itchy little mustache at the top of the tracks. I customize colors for every person who sits in my chair. There are 20 colors to choose from allowing for endless combinations perfectly suited for every individual.

  • Double the volume per weft
  • Slim profile that lays flat
  • Limitless flexibility
  • Stack them, cut them
  • Customizable for every client

I have a unique way of applying beads in a waterfall method. Instead of putting the beads free-floating and vertical, I thread them together in a horizontal "waterfall" formation. I apply the first bead horizontally above your ear and clamp while directing the hair backwards. Next, I'll split the hanging hair from that bead in half and thread it through with the hair going into the bead behind it, clamping it down creating a braided waterfall effect. This method gives me more surface area to sew to and it gives the extensions a very sturdy base to live on.

*With this method, your extensions will also be able to go all the way up to the roots of your hair leaving no gap and they will look very tight and seamless vs. the traditional bead method that leaves about a half inch gap from the roots of your hair.

When combining all these things, you wont even feel the extensions after a day or two. The tension is minimal and your hair will not be harmed in the process. One of the biggest questions people ask me is "Do hair extensions damage your hair?" My answer is always this: Yes... if they are not applied/maintained correctly. When installed properly, your extensions should actually help your hair grow longer and stronger than ever before.

From a personal standpoint, my mom has a very delicate hair texture and it is super susceptible to breakage from blowdrying, bleaching and styling with hot tools. She doesn't like to have anything pulling or tugging on her hair and she gets very anxious about these things which made her a perfect guinea pig for me. To my surprise, my mom (aka my pickiest client... lol love you mom xoxo) was totally fine with the install! From day one, she had no issues with the extensions and I did 2 rows from ear to ear with 2 wefts on each row. Because of this I knew this method would be great for anyone with a sensitive scalp.

To book your hair extension appointment, I require a consultation. Here we can make a game plan for what you are trying to achieve. To move forward, we will order the hair which requires a 50% deposit on the hair cost. I have to order everyone's hair per-diem due to the high cost it takes to keep on hand. Delivery takes about 24-48 hours and can only be placed Monday through Friday. Weekends will delay the shipment. In the meantime, we can do any keratin treatments or coloring services on your hair to prep for the hair extension install.

Prices for sew in extensions (hair cost only) typically ranges from $500-$2000 depending on what is needed. Maintenance is every 6-8 weeks for a move up and this costs $200 each time regardless of how many rows you wear.

Please send me a message at 352-209-8816 if you have any more questions. To book your appointment, go to the top of my website and follow the link to book online. Thank you

Caitlynn Brown.
